American Forces Targeted a 'Major Plant' in the Venezuelan nation, President Trump Asserted Without Offering Specifics.

Ex-President Donald Trump has stated that American forces hit a "large plant" in the South American country recently. Yet, the former president did not specify the precise nature or site of the strike, and there has been no further clarification from his camp.

Unspecific Remarks Offered During a Radio Show

"US forces just eliminated – I don't know if you saw – they have a big plant, where the ships originate. Two nights ago, we destroyed it. So we struck them decisively," Trump allegedly told GOP supporter and supermarket owner John Catsimatidis in a recent interview.

Possible Significance of a Confirmed Attack

If a US strike is verified, it would constitute the initial attack on Venezuelan soil since the Pentagon initiated a buildup of American military presence in the Caribbean region to halt narco-trafficking operations that the former administration alleges operate under the orders of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

This stated purpose of the force deployment has since morphed into a blockade aimed at disrupting the country's crude oil shipments.

Social Media Footage and Official Statements

Trump has for weeks warned that US forces are ready to widen the military campaign by striking targets inside Venezuela, a move that would in theory require legislative approval.

A clip shared on social media on 24 December seemed to depict an blast allegedly from an industrial area in a Venezuelan state. However, the video or the site in question has not been confirmed by third parties.

An administration official allegedly informed a news network that the former president was describing a narco-trafficking site in his remarks.

Reaction and Current Military Posture

The Caracas administration has remained silent on the alleged strike the former president described. Additionally, there have been no verified accounts from Venezuela regarding it.

The presence of US military in the region – a stance some have called a maritime "quarantine" – marks the most expansive naval operation of his time in office.

Sources have refrained from calling the operation as a full blockade, but have acknowledged that around 15,000 troops are deployed across the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico, including a aircraft carrier group, advanced fighter jets, and law enforcement vessels to enforce current sanctions.
