The Streaming Giant Casts Perfect Star for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is geared up to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the major clash won’t take place until the third season, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.
Netflix announced this week that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Mr. 2. The role possesses the power to morph into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their dominant hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that role reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag artist, in the live-action series, differing from the original manga and animated series.
This performer is joined by several other new cast members tasked with bringing the group to the screen, featuring head Sir Crocodile, portrayed by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and a familiar face, who also joins the ensemble as the monarch of the desert kingdom.
Although this character is a major member of the organization, the individual won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this signals a significant shift in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal further changes to the story’s structure.
Escola’s blend of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the role. Along with their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
Netflix's live-action One Piece series is due to premiere for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
